Replacement Value

Current Value Letter for Insurance

Burkart-Phelan, Inc recommends that each player maintains full insurance on their flutes, piccolos,
and headjoints.

If you have just purchased your instrument, simply submit a copy of your invoice to the insurance company, as this shows a valid current value.

If you do not have your invoice, or the pricing has changed, Burkart is happy to provide you with a current value letter for your insurance company*.

Please fill out this form and submit. Please fill out as much information as you are able. We will respond to your request by the end of the next business day following your request.

Please understand that, for legal reasons, we are unable to send a letter directly to your insurance company. We have created hundreds of these letters each year for our customers, and can assure you that your insurance company will accept our PDF as verification of your instrument’s value, even if it is e-mailed, faxed, or mailed by you.

*Please note that this is not an instrument appraisal. Since we are not involved in secondary markets, we are unable to determine at what price your instrument might sell. The pricing provided will be the replacement cost at the time of the letter.
