Burkart Flutes and Piccolos is one of the world’s premier musical instrument makers.  Burkart enjoys a 40 history of providing the finest flutes and piccolos to musicians around the world.  We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Junior Sales Associate. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operation of process management software, including accurately entering data, monitoring of delivery dates, and coordinating with production to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Planning and dissemination of marketing materials utilizing various platforms in consultation with Sales and management
  • Detailing and packaging of delicate musical instruments when required
  • Coordinating with customers, sales, and production to take instrument orders and ensure on-time delivery of finished and repaired instruments by preparing, packaging, and completing documentation for shipments
  • Professional interface with customers including potential attendance at trade shows and other events
  • Domestic or international travel to customer locations, trade shows, or related events

Skills Required

  • Strong organizational skills and excellent time management
  • Strong flute and piccolo playing abilities
  • Ability to interact and communicate positively and effectively both orally and in writing with dealers, customers, co-workers and the public;
  • Ability to work through obstacles to meet challenging deadlines;
  • Ability to take instruction and critique;
  • Ability to answer phone calls and emails in a professional manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team to achieve company goals
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Domestic or international travel, sometimes during weekends as required

This position is full-time and in-person at our Shirley, MA workshop location.

Starting salary range is $47,000-$52,000, commensurate with skills, experience, education, and training.
